Welcome!

Who am I? I'm Tom Auterman, a Metro Detroiter who's active in real estate investing. 

I also help others buy, sell and invest in real estate as a consultant and licensed agent. 

Plus, I'm a digital marketer and amateur economist (see my favorite data in the Charts section!).


Previously, I

  • co-founded and managed a technical staffing firm,
  • worked as a strategy management consultant for a global professional services firm,
  • and worked in sales and marketing for a luxury automobile manufacturer.


I've lived on both coasts but returned to my home state of Michigan. I live in West Bloomfield with my wife and we have three wonderful adult children. 


In my spare time I run the largest private membership real estate investment group in Michigan, the Metro Detroit Real Estate Investors Group, which provides a helpful online forum for members and hosts monthly in-person meetups. 


I'm a proud grad of the University of Michigan's Mechanical Engineering program and earned my MBA in Finance with a Real Estate concentration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
